💳 Introducing the 212 Card

next feature suggestion maybe - scheduled payments?

I did have to try about 10 times and eventually it verified.

@iAndy did you try 10 times in a row? Mine still can’t be verified when I try to add it to Curve :,(
I haven’t received the physical card yet. Do I need to first wait for that, make a first purchase with PIN to unblock something, and then try again to add it to Curve maybe?

It was spread out and eventually it worked in the evening. Sorry, I don’t know what the rhyme or reason for eventually adding it was!

I used it for an online payment over the weekend and it went through no bother. Got notification that cash back was credited this morning - great stuff!

Does using this card regularly help to increase one’s credit score with the bank?

Not AFAIK as it’s not reported on your credit file as it’s probably classed as an e-money account.

I am still waiting for my card to arrive in the post, seems to be taking a bit longer than 10 days quoted.

I am new to this topic so apologise for asking a basic question.

How do I transfer money into this card other than transferring it first to my Invest account and then to this account via T212 ??

Same for me……opened a chat today but no response yet

Is the T212 team speaking to anyone at Curve about the business card issue?

Sure, not everyone uses curve but if other retailers see this as a business card there there will be other issues down the line.

Speaking to anyone at Curve is close to impossible — for me at least, I’ve been trying to contact their support about my failure to add Trading 212 debit card to Curve (I can’t get past Mastercard verification) for a week now, I haven’t got any reply besides the initial automatic chat bot message. I keep trying almost every day without success.

I suspect the reason I’m not be able to add the debit card to Curve may have to do with the base currency of my Trading 212 account (USD). It could be that Curve expects it to be GBP and rejects it, who knows…

@iAndy is your Trading 212 account’s base currency USD or GBP?

My default is indeed GBP

Are there any updates on when you will be able to link your card to Google Pay wallet?

++ when will the card work with Garmin Pay :upside_down_face:

Thanks, looking into the card now. A question if I may re the excluded merchants and code 6211 specifically which mentions “Funds used for bond dealers/brokers of securities, mutual funds, stocks, commodities and bonds”.

Does this include the purchase of metals, e.g. physical gold, silver, or platinum bullion? Happy to elaborate further if that helps.

Many thanks, A :sunglasses::+1:

I opened a chat today and they have suggested that i wait a few more days due to the easter holiday, then get in touch with them on Friday if its not appeared.

@iAndy I have @KrisG looking into it for the business card issue with Curve. Hopefully there is a common fault which will easily be rectified for everyone.
I’ve also terminated one virtual card and added a second to Curve to see if that worked but second card also comes up as a business card on Curve

@iAndy, @Dosm, this appears to be an issue on Curve’s side. We’re in communication with them to help find a solution. I’ll let you know once there are updates.

@mike306, we’re working on enabling Google Pay as soon as possible. We appreciate everyone’s patience

@adamski, generally, it should apply, but it depends on the merchant setup with their acquiring bank.

@Bogi.H in addition to the business card type misclassification, another issue that emerged with the Curve integration is that people whose Trading 212 account has GBP as their base currency manage to link their debit card with Curve whereas those like me who have USD as base currency cannot get past the Mastercard ID verification. Please have the team take a look at that as well, thank you!
