Did you receive the same email as the screenshot shows?
Yes I did, but an hour later. After I had already activated a card in the app
I can’t figure out how this waiting list actually works, I 've been waiting this card for months .
I just had my card declined at the post office too, seems crazy for it not to work there, never had this with any other card.
Edit: it says unsupported merchant.
I just got the notification today after months on the waitinglist (Hungary). I have just ordered the physical card and I will get back with the arrival date. It should be max. 10 workdays. Apple Pay is not available yet.
Likewise! Is this a known limitation? If so, are there any timelines for Apple Pay support for EU folks?
We’re working on adding Apple Pay, and the feature will be available later this year. We shared this in our recent email “ Introducing the card that helps you save and invest”. I’ll let you know once there are any further updates
Some of use asked a card several months ago.
Do you know if cards are deployed by country ?
Seems rather random, others from my country have received. All of which joined the waitlist later.
Patience is key anyhow.
I just got the virtual Trading212 card. Normally I withdraw money from my account from ATM through Google Pay, but the ATM asks for PIN. How does it work with the virtual Trading212 card, I did not get any PIN.
From the feedback here, it seems that EU customers that joined more recently to T212 (community) are being first served and the older folks (in T212 and card waitlist) have to wait.
@Momchil.G , any ideia on card distribution for EU customers? How is being done?
For what my personal experience is worth: while I have joined the T212 community very recently, I got on the waitlist the day it became available (and I’ve been a T212 user for a good couple of years).
Hey MrFloyd… little off topic. I SAYalso got the card yesterday in Croatia… have u tried to use it in shops via GooglePay, my got declined in 3 shops already. I dont know ia it only me or everybody in Croatia. Thanks
Are you registered through the EU/EEA entity? (Trading 212 Markets Ltd. is registered in Cyprus) Those who registered before the EU/EEA existed is typical registered under the UK entity (Trading 212 UK Ltd. is registered in England and Wales). There was a period before the EU/EEA entity was in place where the UK entity did not accept new sign ups. At least for non UK residents. The only way to switch from being registered under the UK entity to the EU/EEA entity is to close the account registered under the UK entity and open a new account. Customers under the EEA/EU entity have a card tab in the app next to the search tab. So I believe at least the ones that have got the the “your in” probably because they have registered on the waitlist are able to push the log in link or use the card app to activate/register for the card and or order the card. Non UK residents under the UK entity was not eligible for the card that was released first for the UK. But since they do not have a card tab in the app it seems that they are not able to make use of the your in link either. So even if they have got an email with the “you’re in” info, in practice they are not in since it is not an option to make use of the info in the mail since there is no card tab in the app for non UK residents registered under the UK entity.
I did sign up through Trading212 Markets Ltd long time ago , while being a European resident, this has to be clarified, are we not eligible for this card ?
No, haven’t tried yet. Not in Croatia until Tuesday. Will try then.
Please let me know. There is still no answer about this from T212 staff.
Thank you
Several factors could cause the transactions to be declined. For example, a purchase might be rejected due to a merchant processing error, or if you’re attempting to make a transaction towards a blocked merchant. I’ve just sent you a DM to check the situation further.
Can you confirm that EU residents that signed up early to the UK entity, are not eligible for a card and they need to move to the entity based in Cyprus?
I’m afraid that’s correct. Our UK entity can offer card services solely to UK residents.
