Afternoon all, thought I would put this out there to the masses to see if there was already a solution.
I’m basically looking for a means to download the latest NAV/date, and current trade price for Investment Trusts. Ideally Google sheets, but don’t mind others.
So for example below articles are a little out of date, but give an idea:

The following should, hopefully, do the trick for you, just swap out the ticker/URL as appropriate:
For price:
=GOOGLEFINANCE("LON:BGCG", "price")
Latest actual NAV:
=index(importhtml("https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/b/baillie-gifford-china-growth-trust-ord-25p","table",5),2,2)
Latest actual NAV date:
=index(importhtml("https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/b/baillie-gifford-china-growth-trust-ord-25p","table",5),3,2)
Or you could just grab the premium/discount percentage with:
=index(importhtml("https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/b/baillie-gifford-china-growth-trust-ord-25p","table",5),4,2)
Cool yeah, thought I wasn’t going to get past the manual nature of linking into a site. Will try it out in sheets later.
