Is there a possibility of a T212 pension platform (SIPP)

Would T212 SIPP be able to trade Crypto ETNs? The regulations does allow for SIPPs.

That’s Great, I’d be interested in Beta Testing / Waitlist too.

SIPP accounts now showing in the app and allowing you to join the waitlist

Will pension accounts also be comming for EU residents? Specifically Dutch. I would instantly open one if possible.

Just open the app, tap on the SIPP account option and you’ll be able to join the waitlist from there. @Pinch

Not at launch, but it’s something we’ll keep an eye on. We’ll let you know if that changes! :eyes:

We don’t have anything to announce regarding pension products for EU residents at this time, but the Netherlands is definitely a market we care about, so I’ll make sure your feedback gets to the right people! :netherlands:

Are employer contributions also supported? ie. direct payments from a Ltd.

Only personal contributions will be accepted with the initial launch. We’ll be making improvements post-launch, and company contributions are in our plans.

Employer contributions from an LTD will be the only thing preventing me from switching

Just keep your existing SIPP open and do a partial transfer.

My SIPP is with AJ Bell which does allow me to make Employer contributions from my own (one man) Ltd company.

Is there anymore information on the 3.8% AER? I joined the waitlist and now I can’t see the 3.8% terms anymore.

Hi, I can confirm the 3.8% AER on uninvested GBP cash in the SIPP account. Money will be held in banks and interest paid daily.

Amazing! Hope the waitlist isn’t too long :see_no_evil_monkey:
Will transfers from the likes of invest engine be available?

Is there are age protection built in? If I put funds in now and the NMPA increases in future, will the funds prior to those changes be ring fenced and accessible at 55?

Similarly, if an individual has another SIPP which is partly protected at 55 and they in-specie transfer it, will the protection transfer with it?

It’s a bit more complicated than that. Here’s a Gemini link giving an introduction (obviously, it is AI, not professional advice) which indicates the kinds of things to be looking in to.

The devil is very much in the detail. But simplistically as I understand it, what happens to any unqualified rights when you transfer depends on the broker process.

@rhyswoos As with the launch of portfolio transfers for our other accounts, we won’t initially support all providers. However, we will do our best to expand the list over time. All supported brokers will appear directly in the app.

@TInvest We don’t currently support a protected pension age. When the NMPA increases to 57 in 2028, clients will need to be 57 to access their SIPP. We can accept transfers from SIPPs that have a protected pension age; however, this protection will be lost upon completion of the transfer.

Thanks for confirming. I was pretty sure that would be the answer, but I’m glad I asked.

Good stuff. I hope the Crypto ETN support is prioritised if possible, since this year is historically shaping up to be a good year to buy and hold long-term, based on historical crypto cycles.

Too bad no LTD direct contributions, that’s all i’m using a SIPP for

lmao, i’m sure i’ve heard that somewhere before, many times..

Not sure what is so funny about the fact stated. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but this time would have to be different to all the other times.
