I came off the waitlist on the weekend, has anybody done a portfolio transfer from InvestEngine, how long did it take to process?

I started an isa transfer from InvestEngine to trading212 about 4 weeks ago. Received email from ie telling me to sell all investments before they can transfer. All investments sold yesterday so Iā€™m hopeful it will complete early next week.

They are allowed 2 weeks for cash ISA transfers and 4 weeks for S&S ISA transfers. I did transfers in 2 of my accounts(mine and OHs) on 13th May, it was a cash transfer from S&S ISA to another S&S ISA. After chasing both sides the transfer in my account got completed last week. My OHs one is still pending. Despite filling the form which has all details, T212 asks one question, ā€œis it from previous year or current yearā€ subscription.

If possible best is to initiate transfer from the outbound provider. E.g. in my case I was transferring from T212 to freetrade but I initiated it with freetrade. Next time I am going to try outbound tranfer initiation with T212.

ISA transfers have to be initiated by the ā€œwinningā€ provider - not the one losing it.

Iā€™ve successfully ported my SIPP from AJ Bell to T212.

Timeline below:

  • Transfer request on 18th May (in species transfer + cash)
  • 1st June assets landed in T212
  • 15th June cash landed in T212

I started a transfer from AJ Bell as follows:

Transfer Request: 15 May

Shares Transferred: 8 June

email from T212 received 15 June telling me the transfer has been completed. It hasnā€™t. My cash is still sitting in AJ Bell account!

Asked T212 to explain WHY they are falsely reporting completion of the transfer, but they canā€™t answer this.

When I initiated the transfer, T212 issued a pre-transfer projection showing that the value of my SIPP would fall to Ā£0 after transfer. When I queried this, they told me the post transfer value would be correct. The pre-transfer projection is a legal requirement.

Iā€™m concerned that T212 are handling Ā£Millions & canā€™t get the basics right.
