Is there a possibility of a T212 pension platform (SIPP)

We’ll share more details at a later stage :ok_hand:

Looking at App platform FreeTrade just for reference they are charging £60 a year for ISA and £120 for ISA&SIPP, so I guess the “cost of the SIPP” to the user would be around £60-80 a year (assuming a discount for the bundle option)

Who in their right mind would have their SIPP with a money burning fintech that can go bankrupt in less than a year?

@VicVega As a SIPP is a long term wrapper, and with the protections that go with it, would you not simply want it at the cheapest provider that provides an all world equity fund(s) with low fees?

It then wouldn’t matter if it was ‘paused’ for say 6 months while it was transferred to the new Trustee/Depositary account. It may even be beneficial if no costs in that period.

Would you be able to contribute during that transition?

You could contribute elsewhere?

Hey guys, wondering if we have any updates on a SIPP? It was shared here that Trading 212 would like to provide SIPP in the upcoming year with is 2024. I know it is only February but is there any updates you guys can share with us?

Not at this point, but we’ll update the thread once there’s any news :ok_hand:

I think a SIPP would be extremely successful and would attract a lot of number customers. At present all of the SIPP options are expensive and not particular good. A new entrant is really needed in the SIPP market

Does that mean T212 is working on developing a SIPP at the moment?

My worry is that, should T212 launch a zero fee platform SIPP, there would receive soo much money that they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

I really don’t want to see T212 over loaded with money

I would imagine that there would be a fee for a SIPP because of the increased admin

Recently, we’ve been busy rolling out other features (see ‘What’s new’ category), and there is more exciting stuff in the works. However, we also have plans to introduce SIPP accounts this year.

If T212 does a SIPP would it be possible to transfer existing SIPP?

Yes, portfolio transfers to and from Trading 212 should be fully rolled out to all customers by the end of March. It will also apply to SIPP accounts once they are introduced.

Great news - can’t wait to hear the details!

I would move my SIPP from my current provider right away! Please introduce a good product, and I reckon you’ll get a lot of customers.
