Hi,
I have noticed that some shares don’t have a stamp duty charges. Can someone confirm the reason for this? Just want to know. Many thanks.

Hello! Securities listed on AIM (The Alternative Investment Market) don’t have stamp duty charges. Also, you do not normally have to pay Stamp Duty or SDRT if you buy foreign shares outside the UK.
You can find additional information related to the SDRT exemptions in the links below:
Cheers!
But is WPP an AIM stock? Is it part of the FTSE 100, so surely not. It does have a listing in the US, so perhaps that is the reason.
Isn’t it registered in Jersey? That will probably be why if true.
There is no stamp duty charge for foreign incorporated UK listed stocks.
It would be nice to have a list of FTSE companies that have no stamp duty.
I will start the list with the only one I know, IAG
WIZZ - Wizz Air Holdings PLC
Now we have 3 in the list. There must be more.
