Price change alerts should show the actual price change

I use recurring alerts that trigger when the price changes +/- 10% within 1 day. However, if the price changes by more than 10% then multiple alerts are triggered.

It would be much better if the alert triggered only once per day and showed the actual price change, not just that the 10% threshold has been met.

It could be the percentage, the new price and since when (surely there’s a time/peak the current price is being compared to).

Something like “Simec Atlantis Energy (SAE) has gone up/down 12% to $2.62 since 11:36.”

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve passed it along to the team, and if there are any updates on the price alerts, I’ll let you know :folded_hands:

This would be great.

Thanks Veselin! Much appreciated

They need reverting back to Pre-May, price alerts before that UI update a few months ago, did this.

Just undo the recent updates, so simple to make Price Alerts useful again. However, I shall list everything that the new Price Alerts does bad compared to the previous version.

  • On the overview screen, remove “show more”, they should all be listed. Limit it to 5 or 6 per stock.

  • Add back the quick selection of % increase/decease, 2/3/5/10%.

  • Show the ACTUAL PRICE when changing by a Percentage.

  • Add back the “Add Price Alert” to the Price Alerts section, so we don’t have to go back to the top of the page to add.

  • Add quick delete button again, no need to open a new window.

  • Price Alert UI should all be in one window.

  • Add Note back to the main window, below the price. So there is only one Save/Set Price Alert button. Absolutely no need for a second window to add the very important notes to Price Alerts. We have to press save twice, to add for a Price Alert with a note. Where on Earth is the logic in that?!

  • Remove the inbuilt numpad, on the mobile app, OS one is just fine, and it can manipulate the cursor within the price. Your inbuilt one cannot, which means dramatically increased inputs e.g. delete>delete>delete>delete>new number. Instead of clicking/tapping for cursor location>delete>new number.

  • Add the clear green +, red -, colours back.

  • Price Change, has the option for + or -, Bidirectional isn’t helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. The comparison you made and the points you’ve highlighted are highly appreciated. I’ve shared your input with the team so we can consider it when making future changes.

I understand the 100 character limit on the notes, that is fine. But there needs to be an indicator for that. Also, having the warning on the initial price alert window is just bizarre, optimising this current price alert build/programming. That desperately need to revert to how it was.

So currently it is, add price alert window>add note window>add note window-save, add price alert-save>character limit breach window-ok>reopen note window>guess how many characters you have>repeat until accepted.

Please, please, please rectify Price Alerts quickly.
