Is it possible to automatically top-up my T212 account with funds from my bank?
Currently, I have two pies that are set to auto-invest via card payment on a weekly basis. This is treated as two separate payments from my bank each Monday. I’d like to have a single direct debit from my bank account (not card payment) to fund my T212 account each week, and then the pies can auto-invest via free funds.
In other words, is it possible to setup a recurring deposit to my T212 account without using pies?
RESOLVED: It seems that I find my T212 ISA account number via the mobile app and use that as the reference code for a recurring payment from my bank account (Monzo).
Sorry for the delay in replying. You can schedule a recurring bank transfer (Standing order) via your online banking app.
Just so you know, you can find the account number from the web app, too. Click on your email at the top right-hand side → ‘Settings’ → ‘Account details’.
If you want to set up recurring deposits via bank transfer, you can only do that by setting up a standing order from your online banking app. For the time being, the Trading 212 app offers recurring deposits only via debit card. You can find a step-by-step guide on how to set that up on mobile here.
