Removing stocks that won't sell

Hi, I have a stock that I can’t sell on the open market, a total loss. I have had a sell order for months and it just sits there. How do I dispose of this and use the loss to lower my tax bill??

As far I can tell it’s not possible to harvest until a disposal occurs.

Any information would be welcome, iv learnt my lesson on trash stocks

A useful bit of information for all and sundry. We would all like to have a penny stock in which we have invested ÂŁ1000 and which then increases in value by several orders of magnitude but it is much more likely you would lose almost all or all of it.

You need to message support. They will then ask you to sign a pdf with the stock details and send it back to them to confirm the disposal.

I think you are correct in saying you can’t claim the capital gain loss until it’s been removed.

Is the stock on AIM?
