One feature that would significantly improve Pies in Trading 212 would be the ability to set Stop Loss and Trailing Stop orders for assets inside a Pie.
At the moment, if an asset is part of a Pie, risk management becomes very limited unless the position is removed from the Pie structure first. This creates a problem for users who combine long-term investing with tactical or sector-based exposure.
Many investors today use Pies not only for passive investing, but also for:
-
thematic ETFs,
-
volatile sectors,
-
commodities,
-
growth positions,
-
tactical allocations.
In these cases, Stop Loss functionality is essential.
Suggested implementation:
-
Allow optional Stop Loss per individual asset inside a Pie.
-
Add optional Trailing Stop support.
-
Keep compatibility with auto-invest and rebalancing.
-
Allow users to choose whether stops remain fixed or adjust after rebalancing.
This would make Pies much more powerful and flexible, especially for hybrid investors who use both DCA and active risk management.
Automated investing and risk management should not be mutually exclusive.
