Stop loss for stocks IN a pie

Stop-Loss Process in Pies

I have seen some older post from quite some time agoe, but still have this request.

I wrote out the use case in simple steps:

  • Stock/ETF slice has target allocation (e.g., 5% of pie).

  • User sets stop-loss % or price on that stock within a pie.

  • When stop-loss triggers, sell in this example all shares of that slice at market/stop-limit price. This is the same as for a single sock.

  • Slice allocation drops to 0% (in this example) (cash now held in pie).

  • Immediate notification sent: “Stop-loss triggered on [Stock] in [Pie]. All shares sold. Auto-rebalance paused.”

  • Auto-rebalance automatically turns OFF (prevents instant buy-back).

  • User enters pie editor with two options:

    • Wait desired time, then manually rebalance → refills slice back to 5% target.

    • Remove slice permanently, redistribute the 5% to remaining slices proportionally or manually.

I think this would be really helpfull as stop loss is an essential part of trading. And I do love pies to group trades together and make it more manageable.

Hopefully you can get this on a priority list. thanks.

I believe you may be referring to this post. The option to offer different order types for pie investments has been suggested several times.

At the moment, there are no updates, and this isn’t something we’re working on, but I’ll be sure to pass your feedback along.
