take a look at fastly, down 27% today after bad earnings, maybe that spooked the cloud market.
Probably a fair point actually, they do tend to move together.
Hopefully some sensible prices will present good buying opportunities
yes they do tend to move together, and that explains sort of what is happening with snowflake, it’s just going with the flow it seems, look at this example chart of 5 random cloud stocks I did including snowflake YTD, all the software is different but chart lines very similar just some moves bigger than others.
Geeee, I forgot this IPO happened just catching up now. I recently, listened to a conference Frank Slootman was talking (actually someone pointed out to me saying, “hey can you believe that’s Snowflake’s CEO”)
Either the crowd was too technical for him, or he was massively underprepared (I want to refuse he is plain out clueless) but he gave me the “wirecard ceo turtleneck jeans” vibe. He kept repeating “big data, cloud, AI, AR, neural networks” etc. to a crowd who are professionals that do these as their day job. Too many “answers” he took on QnA was pure cringe fest.
I had a price alert for $150, now even removed that one. I’ll go setup shop somewhere else.
