TSM not ISA eligible anymore?

Has TSMC stopped being ISA eligible by any chance?

Don’t think it ever was.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd (TSM) does not meet HMRC’s criteria for an ISA-eligible investment. No recent changes have been made on our side, and TSM remains ISA ineligible.

I saw XTB just launched an ISA last month and have already got in to trouble allowing TSM in to their ISA !!!

Doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Anyone use XTB? They seem quite big but only came on my radar with the ISA launch.

Looks like a growing issue that even Bloomberg has reported on

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/business/company-news/2024/12/16/uk-asset-managers-are-racing-to-fix-isa-stock-menu-errors/

I own it in a different broker’s ISA account, bought last month. I’m not able to add to my position this month. Either something changed or my broker had it available when it shouldn’t.

We all know the answer to this.

I’m guessing you held it with a broker mentioned in this CityAM article

Seems like a systemic issue.

I’m conflicted. Is this a broker issue? A regulator issue? A consumer issue?

All of the above?

Do we feel confident T212 aren’t affected? Now and in the future?

Not just $TSMC. But across Trading212’s now (guessing) 15,000 stock range?

We’ve already been through this issue with 212 - 3 to 4 years ago

Understood. But that’s not exactly a “yeah, we’re all good” assertion. That’s just a “yeah, they’ve messed up before” statement.

I’ve seen them named in a few articles about this issue – more recently than 3 to 4 years. I think the Bloomberg article named Trading212.

my mistake… they were named in the CityAM recent article
