UK Dividend Paying Stocks Withholding tax

Hello all,

Any tax experts in the house? I couldn’t find much information online with regards to British dividend paying companies and how dividends will be affected now that the UK has left the EU. As a non-UK citizen/resident, will there be any withholding tax on dividends similar to how we all pay 15% on US dividends?

Or is the UK happy to continue to allow companies to pay dividends to EU citizens tax free?

Thanks.

UK has no withholding tax for any shareholders. EU is nothing to do with it. Japanese, American and Brazilian investors in UK companies are also not charged any withholding tax.

I suspected as much but wanted to be sure. Thanks for confirming.

starting to wonder how long this will remain true considering the governments desire to add more taxes to those in the stock market
