Using 212 Card Abroad

Hi all,

I’m off to Portugal next month and looking for the best way to spend.

Chatting to the 212 help bot it appears if using my 212 card the only charges I need to consider will be the FX cost of 0.15% for which it recommends that I convert my GBP to EUR prior to travelling.

Anything else to consider?

You don’t need to convert prior to travel.

Also take a backup card, just in case. Most banks use the Mastercard rate, and it’s pretty decent gbp to eur.

Thanks! I’m thinking of part loading my 212 and my wife’s Chase card as backup.
