So following GGP today, and notice that T212 chart can plot a VWAP (weirdly just on desktop not app), however it’s not working correctly.
Here’s what i see on the 1 minute
and heres what it should look like (same 1 minute view).
(With the extra lines its easy to see when its completely overbought and about to return)
Also need to talk about the charts themselves…
T212 screenshot has Heikin Ashi candles chosen.
So does Trading view? This is how I roll, not sure what point you are making?
ah yes. I was mistaken. I use red/blue on TradingView too for HA candles

ah no worries. But yeah you see how its completely different?
The key point of this thread is to point out the volume weighted average price in T212 is useless.
Edit: yeah so this is with the “simple moving average” turned on too. This def isn’t a VWAP line.
Doesn’t it depend on the input? If I add VWAP on TV, it uses hlc3. On T212 you can only choose the period.

VWAP is the same on all periods, i already made a post about it before and its not working correctly on the platform
Just bumping my own thread to see if this on T212s radar to fix at some point.
Just seems weird that it must have been implemented broken and nobody ever checked or used it to bother correcting?
@David @George @Tony.V @anon86329651 @anyoneT212 I can’t be the only one wanting to see the VWAP displayed

just bumping this thread from 4 years ago…
since we have a new charts provider now, what’s the latest on VWAP.
there is a VWAP listed in indicators as a “script” but still looks like exactly following SMA.

on a possibly related note, found this more recent post from @Bogi.H but still did not have any conclusion.
It’s available on our mobile app. Click on “Advanced charts” → “Indicators” → type VWAP, and it will appear.
We plan to update our web charts, so we’ll let you know as soon as there’s any news.
Apologies for the late reply, @kali
The VWAP is used primarily as an intraday indicator and is generally applied to lower timeframe charts, such as the 1-minute, 5-minute, or 15-minute charts.
I’ve checked this with the team, and the VWAP is working as expected. This is the way the indicator works on TradingView’s app as well when applied from the indicators menu. Once applied to the chart, it adjusts automatically at the start of each trading session, and that is usually visualised with a straight line up or down between the two sessions.
