So I search for a stock using the magnifying glass - e.g. Intel.
It then shows me a full screen page with the Intel stock and a Buy and Sell button. There is no indication of which account (e.g. ISA or Invest).
Then I click BUY and again there is no indication of which portfolio/account I am buying for.
I enter details and get a REVIEW window - again no indication of which portfolio/account I am buying for.
This applies to the app and browser. Can something be done please because I often switch between ISA and Invest?
I’m not an expert, but you should see the account you’re using (whether it’s ISA or Invest) shown in the top left corner of the screen, both in the app and on the web. Any trades you make (buy or sell) will be executed from that currently active account. So it’s important to check which account you’re in before placing an order, as there’s no further confirmation during the process.
Sure, I know that. But quite often I am unsure what account I selected last, so I have to back out of the stock I have just searched for and check the top left of the main page, then do another search to find the same stock again and then do the buy or sell. It is really annoying.
The Review confirmation screen ought to tell you which account your are about to transact in, surely?
That’s not a bad shout - a small line showing the account you’re about to buy the stock in would be good. But knowing T212 this will never happen. The only things that happen really fast are changes that lots of people find counter-productive. Good feedback like yours will get buried and most likely never implemented.
