Hi Team,
As we know, overall financial portfolio performance is broadly measured on a YTD (Year To Date) basis.
Why then, does it appear there is no option to view this in T212?
Please advise if i am missing something here, but this seems a fundamentally important ‘feature’ to be able to benchmark ones performance against the market, and to ensure one is compounding returns correctly.
Thanks

No, we don’t know that overall financial portfolio performance is broadly measured on a YTD (Year To Date) basis. In fact, using this measure will almost certainly lead to recency bias.
Overall portfolio performance over the long term is measured on a risk-adjusted basis.
The point, which you are clearly well aware of but choosing to ignore, is this measure is well needed, to track ones performance against benchmarks and other instruments.
It is a common, and missing performance measurement, used widely within the finance and investing community.
