It automatically took £1000 out when I tried to set up £100 a month and not sure how that happened can you help

We confirmed what causes the discrepancy - the pie has counted the £5 Stamp duty as invested funds resulting in a distorted return calculation. Will be fixed

On the Investment plan configuration step there is a slider for the recurring amount and another slider for the initial deposit. You may have left the initial deposit at £1000

Shouldn’t the initial deposit default be 0? Lots of people may accidentally invest 1000.

  1. I agree
  2. You should have to scroll down to the bottom before the next button turns blue. Looking at it it looks like there’s nothing more to scroll down to and you’ll just click next on just years and monthly deposit.
  3. There should be a notification saying the (amount) of the initial deposit will be processed on clicking confirm.

We will make the initial amount slider to follow the recurring amount unless explicitly modified.

That is one thing I would like to see. Move existing positions into a pie. I guess @George can fix that in the future…

I created only some small pies with stocks i didn’t own because of that.
By mistake put one I already owned, it messed up my average cost :frowning:

It looks really great, but I“m not able to add non-fractional ETFs, therefore it“s useless for me for the time being. But I“m looking forward to further enhancements!

Suggestion:

Include more Information about the pie;

The Dividend yield of the portfolio (Based on the Target weight or current weight of the stocks) and the Yield on Cost should suffice.

Thank you

Just got the beta and came here for this comment. Particularly frustrating because some of my holdings dont have fractional shares so can’t be added to pies yet and iv want tov track those separately

try starting with a fresh pie where you experiment with different weights of positions minus those non-fractionals. you may find a new balance you like more than your current one either for stability or growth.

with the Pie now essentially live, future release are frequently going to be fractionals so we should make sure to have a compiled list of all the shares that are most urgent and work down the list. If T212 are able to know the balance of shares for all beta-users then starting with the most popular non-fractional and working down may be the fastest way to see a positive Pie-trial response where we move more and more of our positions into the pies, one holding at a time eventually being able to merge the existing positions in.

My Trial pie has me opening positions in various companies I hadn’t bought before as adjusting my weight would have been rather tedious and hard to judge effectively. Now I just need to find a set of weights I like and analyse the growth potential every time I wish to add in a new slice. eventually I may be earning dividends almost everyday to pair with my daily deposits, cost averaging and frequent re-balancing should negate a lot of the opportunities I have missed over the last few months.

It is ambiguous to me what would happen if I press confirm sell. I can set the slidders like this, but I have only £9.95 ABBV. Seems like I should not be able set sliders thus. Something to iron out? What is the proper way to sell the entire ABBV holding while leaving all other positions untouched?

So you would go into the ā€œHoldingsā€ tab in the pie, then scroll down to ā€œedit pieā€ and press the small x right next to ABBV, that will all you to confirm removal. Then save pie

But that alone would not sell the position, right? I need to do something else too?

Well after that, you’re pie will be unbalanced, so you then execute ā€œRebalanceā€ which is below edit pie in Holdings and that SHOULD AFAIK sell the position but will also balance your pie.

@Richard.W isn’t this the same issue? AutoInvest BETA - Feedback

If yes here is my answer: AutoInvest BETA - Feedback

In short, it’s a limit on the slider that we missed to apply on the Android interface. It has been implemented already. Will be released with the next update of the app

Sorry - I forgot the answer. Thanks. But my question was an extension of the previous one, ie what will happen if I press ā€œconfirm sellā€? Will all the ABBV be sold, or will I get an error message saying I do not have enough ABBV?

Can you only set a payment method with a credit card? Because i only have a debit card from my bank. Apple pay doesn’t work either for some weird reason…

Well, I just hope that in the end of the summer I can use the pie.

I already got it but i’m not using it until having all the shares I want fractional so I can add them to the pie and I also need to be able to move the shares I already have to the pie otherwise doens’t make sence to create the pie if I still have to manage the accounts in one excel.
