Major problem with my partners account. I tried explaining how the Pie works on her account and everytime I went to invest Ā£10 it would say āDoneā - but then no stock transactions had taken place. I was able to buy small amounts of fractional shares to test it, and that worked, but investing in the pie on her account does not work.
Now that would be AMAZING!
To edit - export to google sheets too!
Itās going to essential to have export data functionality soon as there is no was I am manually going through my pie lists each week and manually typing all my holdings in to excel especially as they are fractional. All the decimal places would push me over the edge haha.
Maybe its best to use the monthly statements that are emailed at the start of the following month as the basis for excel spreadsheets?
And then just copy and paste them and add company details.
I do not know how the pies will come up in the statements, we will see at the start July .
Can you copy the full list out into excel I have never tried. Only real started investing with T212 this month. Is the list a pdf or in body of email?
It is all in the body of an email, it lists the ticker, the open positions and the closed transactions. I have not actually used it for my tracking as I only have a handful of positions open and they are long term, but now that pies with regular investments exist I may have to use the monthly statements.
Currently I only use them to see if I have made any significant movements in that month and the profit. They can be useful to remind yourself of quantities in case you need to submit any details to HMRC (or equivalent).
Haha yeah. I just signed up to trackyourdividends and typed everything in manual over 60 holdings deffo couldnāt be at it all the time.
Graphics surprise I thought I had fully appreciated whatās available with pies in the beta, but now just noticed something. The little icons in the pies list actually show the true pie fractions. I had been thinking they were generic. How clever!
And they also indicate the actual weight of the slices! I see your pies are well balanced.
Pies 1 and 2 are equal weights. 0 is weights of region components of VWRL ex-US. 3 is overweight in two companies that I am underweight in and want to beef up in my holdings. I am racing them against one another and curious to see which will return most.
By balanced I mean the actual values are ~equal to the target values.
This pie has some overweight and some underweight slices and the icon reflects that:
Oh, I see! So even the tiny icons show that. You must have very imaginative and persistent programmers doing your software development.
Playing around with PIE uploading future potentials and I think I hit gold.
Surely I wonāt be a trillionaire in 22 years?
Itās based of the last 5 years of returns and assuming it will be the same for the next 22 years. If whatever asset has the same level of return over the next 22 years then sure, you will be. But as the saying goes, past performance is not indicative of future returns.
i would like to be a 'māillionaire at least if not a b or t. care to share that pie?
I bloody wish it was (excuse my french) although I have high hopes for both the investments. Still lots of research to do yet but hey, you gotta invest in things with a passion. These have definitely left me with a desire to learn more.
Itās probably been asked already but does the value projection of my pie take my dividends reinvested into account when giving me the estimated value?
Also, would be a great addition if the value projection chart could give information, such as, the optimal weighting of stocks in your pies for maximum returns or something along those lines.
See: How to decide the balance of the pie percentage?
Weāve been discussing the efficient frontier.
Iāll share the wealth Itās built up of two/three companies
Greatland Gold and Powerhouse (and Card Factory, which Iād be removing sorry Card Factory)
If only I could time travel and predict what the next 22 years has in store with these companies
Thanks for letting me know
