You can use your Credit Card to fund your account (as I assume you have done in your case). Afterwards, youāll be able to Manually Invest the funds at whichever date suits your strategy best (e.g. once a month). By using your accountās Free Funds you can invest and allocate them to your pie. This way youāll invest Manually without setting a recurring payment from your credit card. ![]()
Thanks LD.
But thatās not exactly what I want.
I was looking a fully automatic process, where:
1- money is transferred automatically to the account
2- money is automatically allocated to the pie
3- money is invested in the pie, according to the pie distribution.
The only think I do not want, is have to give my credit card number (to avoid these recurring payments).
I want to make the automated payments myself, via bank transfer, once a month.
My questions are:
1- is defining the credit card number really mandatory?
2- if I make the payments via bank transfer, will this money, arriving in the funds, be automatically be transferred to the pie?
3- will the pie automatically invest this money?
Not easy to describe want I want. But I did my best
Thanks and regards
Hi @Centrino,
We understand your case and we plan to add a feature which will allow AutoInvest to use the already deposited cash in your account as a funding source
Thank you George!
- any idea when this will be available?
So in the meantime, Iāll have to use the recurring credit card method.
As there is a recurrence end date field, could you confirm when can instantly change this end date? And that this change is effective immediately?
By the way, in the calendar, why is one year the minimal allowed recurrence duration? And not allow less than 12 months?
Thanks and regards
This should become available early 2021. However, by the end of the year we will add support for Bacs Direct Debit which will allow recurring bank transfers.
It becomes effective immediately.
This will require a more complex UI which we canāt justify. If you plan to invest for a period shorter than 1 year you can just cancel the schedule when the time comes ![]()
Great George, Thanks for your support

When we enable this functionality importing existing shares in the pie wonāt affect your target values. The pie will continue to invest without any problems. When weāre about to add the functionality weāll produce a user guide for that as well.

Can you add manually funds on pay?

I donāt have access to auto invest pies on my account and havenāt received a Notification about the beta. Would just like to start using the pies on the app if any1 can help that would be much appreciated thanks.
Most certainly you can, @Miha!
You can add funds manually to your pie any time you like, and you can also choose how your funds are allocated to your slices. ![]()
Perhaps your app version needs updating, @Meako .

Once you get the latest version, youāll be able to see the āPieā section next to your Investments tab. If youāre using the web platform, youāll need to add ā/betaā at the end of the URL to access our pie feature.
my android app crashes when i go to my portfolio and then click on the PIES tab. anyone else have a similar issue? i am using the latest version of trading212 available on the play store on nexus 6P
Iām also wondering, when you rebalance the pie, how are funds transfered between investments?
specifically:
- are the buy/sell transactions of overweight/underweight pieces performed at market values?
- are there any extra fees involved vs just buying/selling a single stock at its market value?
Apologies if this has been asked before but Iām struggling to understand how this works.
I want to automatically invest dividends back into the company that issued them
Iāve setup a pie with a single company (City of London Investment Trust)
As far as I can see to automatically reinvest dividends I have to setup a regular amount to be invested, otherwise the āAutoReinvest Dividendsā option is disabled.
Iāve set the Initial Deposit and 6 Monthly target at Ā£1 (the purpose of the pie is just to autoinvest dividends so Iāve set these values at their lowest possible).
When I view the pie, the Autoinvest Dividends option is selected, but the dividend that was paid today has just gone into my general pool of free cash, it hasnāt been reinvested in City of London Investment Trust
Have I misunderstood how this works?
You should be able to simply scroll down to dividends on the pieās overview page then turn on reinvestment without also enabling auto invest.
Yes, youāre right, I can switch Autoinvest off but still enable dividend reinvestment
Iām still not seeing todayās dividend from the City of London Investment Trust being reinvested in my pie though. Is this simply that I need to wait, or should it go straight through?
(The dividend is showing as having been paid to me in my notifications)
Hey, @IanHH ![]()
Iāve checked your account and can see that your CLIG shares are not held in the created Pie. In order for the dividends to be reinvested back into the specific company, youāll have to import the existing shares to your Pie. If the shares are outside of a Pie on the ex-dividend date, the dividend is simply paid to your accountās free funds, which is what happened here. Of course, moving the shares to the Pie will not affect your existing position in any way, and youāll still see it on your homepage along with all of your other investments.
Brilliant ! Thanks very much to both of you for replying so quickly.
I now understand why the pie was not showing my full investment in CLIG.
Youāre most welcome ![]()
Iām afraid I still seem to be getting the autoinvest of dividends wrong.
I received a dividend from JP Morgan Claverhouse on Monday, but this has not been auto reinvested back into my holding.
I have a pie with this stock as the only member. Dividend auto reinvest is set to on. But when I look at the history for my holdings in this stock, Iām not seeing any record of the dividend being re-invested.
