Because generally that’s how debit/credit cards work. If you get a refund to them after they’ve been cancelled or deactivated, the funds go to your bank account. Since obviously your card is linked to your bank account. As advised, wait a few more business days and then contact support to enquire about the payment status - either it will go back to your bank account or back to 212 who will just add it to your trading account.

How does a debit card work?
When paying by debit card, the money comes directly out of your bank account.
As shown, when you use Debit card for transaction, funds are taken directly from Bank account, thus the point, if you refund a transaction made by debit card, it goes directly to bank account.

Yes.
That is the purpose of Debit Card, use funds from bank account to pay for transaction. Thus refund returns money to the bank account linked with Debit card used.
