Contract notes / transactions?

I’m new to this platform… Once an order has been placed is there any sort of contract note generated?? Is it possible to download all transactions to a spreadsheet .csv file??

tx

You receive a contract note by email the day after the trade. For csv data see the post below. (It is worth using the search facility in the forum to find, as in this case, if your question has already been answered.)

Yes, the problem here with this ā€œexport to .csvā€ feature is that (pretty obviously) it has no probative value WHATSOEVER. Most of us who are dismayed customers of T212’s silly decision not to generate proper contract notes want something saying what they bought… a PDF probably, with something identifying this as a LEGAL DOCUMENT issued by the broker. Like most other brokers on this planet produce.

4 years later, still no transaction contracts available. I think I will transfer out T212 to a proper broker where you can document your GIA transactions if HRMC comes to knock on your door.

  1. You get contract noted sent next day to your registered email.
  2. You can generate a trading statement in your app.

But anyhow farewell and good luck with your new broker :waving_hand:

Since I joined in February, I did not receive any individual contract note for any of my purchases.

I could not find a contract not to download from my laptop. Had a look into application and I could download transactions as CVS but as a bulk.

To be able to keep good records for CGT and to be able to prove HMRC I kept good records, I need a contract note for each transaction(ideal a PDF form to give all the details of the transaction).

I’ve asked about the individual contract notes multiple times. I just receive giant, difficult to display & read Account Activity statements with my name and my customer ID on it, but no address, so doesn’t look OK to me. I have HL and Vanguard accounts and they issue contract notes promptly. Obviously T212 don’t find it necessary to issue downloadable PDF individual contract notes and they call the lists of transactions/holdings contract notes when these look nothing like contracts between myself and T212…
Please at least add the address on these statements! may be I’m missing something, but there’s not a single downloadable document on T212 with all my info in one place (name, account No, address, assets). I have take screenshots of everything :woman_shrugging:

But you get emailed these daily and can download yourself in the app? Are they going to your junk or would you like some user guidance how to generate a copy in the app?

On the IPhone app, if you click the three lines and then select documents, you can download account activity statements and U.K. tax reports and stuff like that. I just checked and mine have my address on if that’s what you are looking for to confirm where you live?

Activity statement comes in Excel format.

Not a proper document which can be emailed to HMRC for example if asked for it.

Looks like a PDF to me and I can customise the date range?

There’s also an annual document I use and send to HMRC and had no issues the last few years them accepting it.

I still cannot find the PDF format to download. The only thing I see is CSV file. Maybe I’m thick, but cannot find it on the contract note.

I receive the statements, but these are not ā€˜contract notes’ and they don’t include my address.
I receive individual contract notes from Vanguard for example, T212 don’t issue these. I can download monthly statements, there’s no address included as well and there’s just a ā€˜tax return guide’ under Annual statements…
There’s a downloadable cash ā€˜Transactions Statement’ with my name and address included, but that’s it, just cash in and out.
There’s a ā€˜Confirmation-of-holdings’ which shows my name, my Customer ID and (no idea why) my BG National ID. I live in the UK, T212 have my UK address, a copy of my British passport and I have an ISA account in the UK… Why would I need a document with my irrelevant BG national ID on it but not my UK address for UK tax purposes?!? I am absolutely baffled…
I’ll keep looking, but right now I can’t find a proper contract note between T212 and myself to show that I, who live at that UK address own that asset.
