I have 3LUS which is 3x leveraged daily SPX listed on LSE.
I see T212 derives charts from tradingview.
For this ETF I have noticed that the price doesn’t move.
I spoke to T212 chat and they said that its very illiquid.
This is not true as the same ETF on IG you can clearly see movement on the 1 minute chart and you can see the price.
The issue isn’t with the buying and selling, but one has to remember the chart shown isn’t the most recent price action. I have to have the chart show on IG so I can see what is happening, and then put my order in.
anyone else notice this? any solutions?
Hey, @pethadine
Our price charts do not come from TradingView but rather utilize TradingView’s charting engine while relying on our own quote providers. While the instrument is indeed liquid, the chart does not update as often, as this depends on the trade prices received by our quotes provider. Still, our team appreciates the feedback and we will look into any possible improvements.
Yes I’ve held these ETFs and others in the Wisdomtree inverse/leveraged ETFs and experienced exactly the same issue.
Volume is light on some of the ETFs, but the main issue is that T212 (and freetrade) do not display the bid/offer spread and use LTP.
Takes ages to update.
The other brokers use the live feed, but charge more commission.
You could check out Level 2 for LSE and you will see real time pricing and the full order book.
But it can get expensive each month.
Interesting topic and comments. As a new arrival to this platform I am particularly interested in the pricing structure and hope to see more discussion on this issue.
AJ bell will give live pricing on this, but I hate AJ bell’s platform, but they offer products that T212 dont offer.
I think IG does have access to level 2 data but you have to maintain a certain level of trades, however the standard account does show near live price action which is good enough for most people.
@pethadine, I use the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF on T212 with VUSA ticker. I find this ETF pays dividends as it’s an Distributing ETF but doesn’t have the leverage of the ETF you use. Does the 3LUS ETF also distribute the dividends like VUSA? How have you found the 3LUS ETF in terms of returns and what percentage of your portfolio have you got invested in this?
I managed to enter a big position on the carry trade flash crash and so far its up 18% . I missed the low by 13 mins as it was 200p cheaper but not complaining.
