If you are buying shares you can afford as normal then maybe avoid fractional. They seem to have a premium price

At 13:58 I got normal VWRL at 72.66…1 minute later I got fractional of it at 72.71
12:46 sold SWDA for 4923 whole numbers, at :48 for 4919 the fractionals
Maybe coincidence but you can try yourself. Would make sense that maybe not all the places they can place orders with support fractionals so not optimal pricing
you do also have to account for the fact you aren’t making the actions at identical timing. you have a 1minute delay in the first and a 2 minute delay for the second. every couple of seconds the price will bounce or adjust a little according to which prices remain available. your whole purchase took that price off the table so the fractional had to find the next best available.
@ukcz There’s no premium when trading fractions compared to whole share stocks. The difference is most likely because of the timing.
