GameStop & AMC - Available for Trading

hmmm…well I just sold €1.00 worth of GME and it went through okay with a simple market order. But that said it hasn’t come up under my “FREE FUNDS” afer 5 minutes

Tried again with €5.00, sold via market order and the order went through and doesn’t come up under “FREE FUNDS”…this is very very worrying @David

It will same thing happened to me

Hi David, can you have a look at my account. I can’t withdraw funds neither can I put an buy order of US equity

Thanks for opening up the buying on GME and other US stocks. Pleased to be able to add more again.

Hi David,

i currently have a 212 isa. trying to sell amc stock. reply is ‘please try later’ .

thoughts ?

@David Can we please get a response as to why funds are not showing up on accounts after selling some GME. This is extremely worrying

Settlement time? You read there statement??

“However, we’d like to warn you about the high risk of long execution disruptions for both BUY and SELL orders caused by the extreme market activity”

Food for thought:

  • What will happen if SEC and/or Stock Exchanges suspends all trading in GME or AMC stocks?

  • What will happen if GME or AMC fill for bankruptcy?

For both the longers and the shorters. There will be people holding the bag…

The shorts will still exist.

They are not going bankrupt any time soon.

Bankrupt soon??? Umm…don’t think that’ll be happening

Bankruptcy fillings could happen anytime.

Beware the period between Friday night (after market close) and Monday (before market open), it’s the preferred time to do that kind of things.

People forget what happen to Lehmann Brothers, one of biggest world investment banks?

They got a 9 months life support, from your Bloomberg article:

“AMC is burning so much cash with a ton of debt and a lot of rent to pay,” Michael Pachter of Wedbush Securities said in a statement to Bloomberg. “They will recover if they can hold off their creditors, so they can keep borrowing and issuing stock to fund their $100 million” a month of cash burn, he said.

This movement wouldn’t end soon. Probably this dance between longers and shorters will last for some time.

Normally not when your shares are at an all time high…

GME, AMC bankrupt? They don’t owe anyone anything as part of stock trading…time to read that warning when you opened your account about risk and step back into current accounts…

Funny, thanks for advices, I have more than 20 years in investing, besides being:

Appeal to expertise or argument from authority?

They don’t have an intermediary but it looks like Freetrade is at the mercy of their “FX Provider”. US stocks shut down. Even for people paying the £10 for "Free"trade Pro.

None, some people think that they are better than others.
But there is always someone that knows more than us. Of course, there are people with more knowledge than me, but I don’t pretend to be arrogant telling others to go investing on current accounts, as if I know it all.
