The hearing was a joke and I couldn’t take it serious since the question being ask didn’t even relate to the hearing and seemed each rep had their own agenda. And VLad was obviously talking a lot of nonsense just to waste time.

Embarrassing that those asking questions are on the financial committee yet knew very little about the topic at hand
One of them spent a good 2 minutes asking why robinhood users couldn’t buy shares in robinhood… well uh maybe because they’re a private company

Didn’t watch the all of the hearing, but I am pretty disappointed with the congressmen.
As @ryan9921 says, some seemed pretty unfamiliar with the topic, but even more regrettably, others were simply trying to push more of the same cheap conspiracy theories, just to get more populist support, which have got them where they are in the first place. It was like in a movie, when an aggressive prosecutor makes a point by asking number of provocative questions intentionally not giving the other side the chance to respond. I find this sad.
Vlad did try to avoid answering some questions that were not supposed to be asked, for example “What is Robinhood’s AUA”. He succeeded but I suppose it left bad impression to the general viewer.
