We don’t have such plans, but we’ll keep you posted if that changes down the road.
It would be nice if we could customize our card, even if not with custom pictures then at least the colors or maybe premade styles.
@Susiee, we’ve received similar suggestions in the past, but currently there isn’t any news on introducing different card designs.
Could the card / Banking piece be like a separate tab from invest? Pots too would be awesome - you’ve already done it with the invest card pot.
Just think a clear segregation from day to day banking, Incest, ISA and CFD would be
Thanks
Nice idea but the “interest on cash” in the investing section uses the spending pot of the card + invest cash to work out total cash to give interest on so not sure how that would work as you need both in same section of app. I suppose you mean to have cash in invest and cash on card in different app sections each getting their own interest and can transfer cash between the sections of the app. Quite a bit of work. I was even thinking maybe a separate app for the card would be good.
Given that they keep doing new offers for Cash ISA, surprised they don’t do one for the card to boost their non-ISA appeal
???
It’s a special UK financial jargon?
Enjoying the 212 card and all the features that come with it. Great work, team.
Having said that, I found out today that my local Tesco petrol pump does not accept the card. Only a slight annoyance but worth noting.
Odd one but you can use it through Curve.
Hi @Bogi.H is there any update on adding JPY as a card currency? I’ll be travelling to Japan next year, so it would be great to have a dedicated JPY spending card.
Sorry to disappoint, but no updates for now on this, @maxkshaw While JPY isn’t present as a standalone currency in the app yet, you can still use the card to make payments in JPY, and the amount will be exchanged at the interbank rate without any FX fees.
Thanks, Momchil. I was hoping to buy up some JPY in advance while the rates are good and then use my T212 card for spending in Japan next year.
If JPY won’t be available for investment, I’ll just use my existing Monzo card for overseas spending.
Please let me know if there are any plans to include JPY in the list of investable currencies.
Is there anyway of sending money straight to the spending pot or in the near future? I seem to keep forgetting to move the money and keep getting card declined!
Funds can’t be deposited directly into the spending pot - only transfers from your main pot are allowed. If we introduce this option in the future, we’ll let you know.
Any plans to extend the cashback of 1.5% beyond 5th of September?
Do I still get the cashback if I use my 212 card with Curve?
@Caricp, the 1.5% from our ‘Trading 212 Card Invest Cashback Promotion’ was initially valid until 05.07, then extended to 05.09. We cannot provide any updates regarding a further extension at this stage.
@throughoutugh, yes. You’ll earn cashback when using the card at eligible merchants.
Just tried online using Curve with 212 as the underlying card. Came through as Online with no cashback sadly. Guess that is a Curve issue.
Next time will will a POS contactless with the Curve through google wallet.
If no luck revert back to 212 without curve
After doing some payments trading212 card. On the payment day the transaction has pending status. Then on the next business day transaction status is updated to completed. Then on the next day the cashback is paid. Usually it seems to take two business day to receive cashback
