Hi, Iāve just opened a Cash ISA account, only to be told at the end of the process that T212 have paused transfers. If I had known this before I opened the account, I wouldnāt have bothered.
I canāt find any information about how long this pause will last - can anyone help with a timescale please?
If there is no timescale available, how do I close the ISA? No point in having an empty account.
Incoming Cash ISA transfers were temporarily paused due to the high volume of requests. Thereās no specific timeframe that we can currently provide on when theyāll resume, but the team is working tirelessly on clearing the queue as soon as possible, so we can re-enable the feature.
In case you wish to close your account with us, you can do so via the Settings menu.
Thanks for the reply. It would be helpful if the information about transfers in had been available at the beginning of the account application process, it would have saved a lot of wasted time.
I havenāt found anywhere that provides proper clarity, but what is the rule? If I decide to stop using my existing ISA and start a transfer to T212 can I start topping up the T212 ISA as I would now consider it as the āactiveā account? Or do I need to make sure the other one is closed first?
It is showing me an option to transfer cash isa to stocks ISA. Could I do that and then internally transfer between trading 212 stocks ISA to Cash ISA?
Jumping on here for a related query. I want to transfer an isa s&s from Halifax to T212. Iām following the steps in portfolio transfer but get stuck on the āassetsā screen. I donāt know the breakdown of my current assets on my Halifax account . Just have the total number of unit and value.
