New layout ruined T212

I already hated the new home screen and now they ruined the portfolio tab.

Why is information split into multiple bubble-style windows?
Different data is placed into separate rounded ā€œblocks,ā€ which creates huge amounts of wasted space. The borders, padding, and background gaps take up more room than the actual content. Instead of a clean, compact layout, everything is spread out into small ā€œislandsā€ of information surrounded by empty space.

Bubble-style asset windows waste screen real estate.
The rounded ā€œcardsā€ may look nice for some, but they drastically reduce the amount of space available for useful data. Icons are now tiny, and on the heatmap they will probably lose detail even sooner. Overall, it shows less information than before.

The pull-up portfolio tab makes no sense.
It’s annoying to constantly open and close. Even when it’s closed, it still takes up a huge amount of screen space.
And why is the portfolio search bar always visible when the pull-up tab is closed?
It wastes vertical space. The search bar should appear only when the tab is opened.

The portfolio value graph has no axis numbers.
Without numbers on the axis, the graph doesn’t provide any real insight. It becomes decorative instead of functional, which defeats the purpose of having it.

Heatmap shadows are distracting.
The blur/shadow effect adds unnecessary visual noise and makes the heatmap harder to read at a glance.

Overall:
The new design focuses too much on aesthetics and animations instead of practical usability. The previous layout was more efficient, clearer, and more informative.

Thank you.

Agree. This new designe is terrible. It is really dealbreaker for me and Iam thinking about switching to another broker.

Totally agree. The worst part is that the really important features are still up in the air.

Same here. They had visually great platform, but now they make it so annoying to use. Sad

@Momchil.G / @Bogi.H - What are your thoughts on this feedback?

I am in several investing groups, Telegram/Discord etc and I don’t see 1 person who is positive regards the ā€œpull upā€ menu to see our investments page info.

Can you consider changing this back? do you appreciate the concerns people have with this?

Thanks

Portfolio page made worse:

  • Holdings map now hidden via a subtab = more clicks.
  • Orders = value of the pending orders as cash has been removed and is excluded from the ā€˜cash’ balance.
  • Pending order are no longer clickable taking user to the instrument.

Provide choice, not remove features or data.

I used to see 2 links in my Pending Orders until recently; one link to the trading graph, the second for the Pending Order to cancel it). This was useful to review my pending order limit to the current trading position and allow me to cancel it.

I can now only see a link to the pending order, which takes me to the cancel pending order. But there is no instant access to the stock graph.

Why would this have been changed?

Completely agree. T212 please reinstall the values along the Y axis on charts if nothing else. What customer insight suggested this update would be a good idea?!

Agree, the new layout sucks.

What was wrong with a list of investments (and whole pies) ordered by value? That’s the only view I ever wanted. Now that view is two menus deep, and even then, empty pies appear above assets worth thousands.

The old view was easy to navigate, data rich and functional. It was even quite aesthetically pleasing. The new view is worse in every way.

@212, Stop pishing around and making the app less usable, or people will leave.

All these drag down menus are ā– ā– ā– ā– .

One more vote from me for botched UI… This is getting ridiculous. Trading 212 is becoming like YouTube with these useless, pointless design changes every week that ruin the experience of using the platform… There is no reaction from the company about the criticism. Everyone on Reddit is complaining about this

@Anibohovi if and when you find a better broker, let me know.

When you search, you will know there are non comparable to T212; reason why they can get away with such immature and crappy front end design.

Only reason appears to be make the user experience worse. Easily solved by two click area, one for the order, one for the instrument. They’ve also removed the cash cost of the pending orders so for those of us who keep track of these things, we’ve lost a data value for zero benefit.

Thanks, everyone, for sharing your thoughts on the new update.

We’re actively reviewing all the feedback we’ve received and have already identified a few areas that need improvement based on your comments.

Such input helps us understand where the experience feels less intuitive or efficient than before, so please keep it coming! Examples and specifics are especially helpful.

Thanks for the response.

Can we expect our investments/portfolio page to revert to a straight forward page that lists our investments, and isn’t hidden away in a pull up menu please?

I don’t understand why it keeps changing. The UI you had a year ago was great.

To be perfectly blunt, all UI efforts in 2025 have felt like your team is trying to make important functions and app areas harder to access, and more difficult to process at a glance. This applies to investments, watch lists, news, orders, and more.

The app feels completely unserious. Who creates charts without a Y-axis?

People are using your app to deploy their life savings. Do better in 2026.

For everyone that’s frustrated, do yourself a favour and use the advanced view on desktop. It’s the least bad option right now.

@Bogi.H I’m assuming there isn’t one already since I don’t believe I’ve seen any reference either here or in-app, but given the frequent pattern of UI updates followed by community backlash, have you guys considered creating an opt-in beta test/discussion focus group.

Obviously with every design change there’ll be critisicm but I think a lot of the disgruntled feelings arise from users feeling like their thoughts aren’t being properly considered, or crucial UX factors in the current (now previous) builds are being erased in the process.

I don’t doubt the devs are trying their best and have the ultimate goal of elevating the experience of using T212, but it’s easy for them to overlook cherished functions in their re-design frenzy. Getting input from the most active and engaged users who’ll likely be said beta participants can help sanity check design proposals and reduce the cycle of ā€˜UI change push > backlash > apologies > partial/full backtrack’ in 2026.

The new layout is terrible, I am considering leaving which is a shame. You need to revert back to the previous one which was fine and just add more features. How is someone not losing their job over this?? Its diabolical, look at the feedback on here or reddit. 100% bad feedback
