I might not be the first to notice this but the Pies are very poor at re-investing cashback or dividends well. As an example markets close on friday and then I have the entire weekend were I’m spending money and collecting cashback, for some reason it placed an invest order after i had 1.11€ and I now have another 70 cents that are not invested anymore because I got them afterwards but markets are still closed till tomorrow and not those 70 cents wont be invested because it would need to be 1€ again.
Would it be difficult to just only let pies send buy orders right when markets open or when markets are already open? I know I’m talking about peanuts here but this could add up in the long run idk, or maybe there is some intricate reason for this I don’t understand?
No, I have one stock in there, the issue is again: that Trading212 places the order on a random saturday and the cashback from sunday is now not part of the order and is not doing anything.
When I make a purchase the Casback is added to my Pie.
Once the total amount of free cash in my pie hits a number over 1€ Trading212 places a buy order for my stock.
If I purchase something over the weekend for example and I hit the 1€ threshold the order is placed while the markets are closed, and if I purchase something after that nets me less than 1€ this will not be added to my previous amount.
So that means that instead of checking at market open, when money can be invested if it is enough, the order is placed instantly and some money is ignored for no reason.
So as an example, I buy something on Saturday and now my total cashback amount is 1.37€, Trading212 instantly places a buy order, on Sunday I buy something else and get another 0.72€. Because my order was already placed, Monday morning only the 1.37€ will be invested instead of the total 2.09€.
