Recent UI changes are stuff no one wants

Just updated the apps and the news for each individual stock is gone, please fix and maybe do a poll before changing the UI, besides the problems I’m about the mention the UI is basically perfect, add to it, but don’t change or take away
Problem 1 no news.

Problem 2 from a UI change ages ago, not being able to see how many shares I have in a stock of it’s in a pie, this never used to be the case and it makes updating stock events really annoying.
I’ve mentioned this before and nothing was done so I’ll try again.

They also need to bring back total invested back on the main portfolio page that includes net as well and dividends and/or shares sold and not just net deposits.

Just look at the Trading 212 community in Reddit, no one wants these changes. Literally everyone is baffled why they change the UI when it was good, its atrocious now

There is no logic to any of these changes, its so unecessary. Its becoming literally unusable, especially on Desktop. All the financial information for companies is now hidden, they push social stuff constantly, push “Earn Interest” - Push AI - Push everything more than actual useful financial information at a glance. The STATS thing is useless, the themes are terrible now. WHY DO YOU KEEP CHANGING EVERYTHING FOR THE WORSE ??

Trading212 only makes money if you sell or buy, they don’t want you holding. So they hide as much information as possible so people don’t really know what is happening, so you buy or sell not knowing the whole picture.

That is the only reason I can think of as to why every update makes it harder to get the information we need to know what is going on.

Wow, these recent changes can be thrown in the trash, they are terrible.
First it was color changes to an existing template instead of making a new one, then they made the nice 1 click 5min and 1min buttons in a submenu, now the your investment and financials information is horrible to look at with quick view information hidden.
Who signs off on this?

I completely agree.

I have now lost all of my notes on price alerts, where I kept my targets and the purpose of each share.
The weighted MORR figures are not useful.
I am doing more and more manual calculation, note-taking and tracking as features are removed.
There are businesses that remove information to encourage impulsive decisions. I hope T212 are not going to do this.

The changes are dreadful and make for a much less optimal experience.

Hiding stuff behind clicks, modals, pages, and tabs is not useful when you need to see quickly at a glance pertinent data.

It requires multiple more clicks now to access data which previously was immediately visible.

Even viewing feed entries now requires clicking ‘See all’ to be able to click into a specific one.

Just a really dreadful update which has made the UX much worse.

Yeah, its terrible. I dont know why they keep pushing this, as if its some kind of hurt pride, because everyone hates it. On Reddit people are fuming, because the recent changes to the UI are absolutely horrible. If they actually revert back the changes, they would absolutely gain my respect as a company

The title of my thread was along the lines of “Were the recent UI changes signed off by someone who doesn’t use 212”.

Quite honestly that’s the only reason I can think how they got from the idea stage to being implemented.

I’d like to add support for some of these changes to be reverted.

News should be in a separate section to feed. It’s 2 clicks away now to view something that was viewable just by clicking on the share.

FX Impact should be viewable without the modal. Especially important with the recent EUR/USD shifts.

Ideally, the financial info should be available on the main stock profile without clicking as well. This and news only got added recently, I don’t understand why they are hidden behind clicks now.

Ive just registered so that i can comment on latest UI update for app which happened overnight.

It’s poor. I dont need to be specific and others have already made the main points. But I will say dominating the stock page with feeds & pies, user content is not at all helpful.

After returning to the UK after a trip aboard and using the app properly I’m bewildered by this updates! Yes, I’m sure there is some technical reason for it like app load or something, but honestly, the layout is wrong and what has happened to the FX effect?

Honestly, why do you guys keep changing everything? Do a doodle poll or something! Please restore the last version.

The reason is that the people in charge of the UI need to keep their jobs so every few months they create an issue then slowly fix it, this way it seems like they’re valuable to the company, many places like you tube suffer from this problem, soon it will just be all AI and that will mean UI stay perfect because there’s no one to fire.
