Some clarification please

As you can see from the pic below, the rollover price states -24.2. Does this mean it’s cost me £24.20? Currently should be in the green (making money) as price is 25,830 yet I’m -£7.42.

If the rollover has cost me £24.20 how then is this calculated? Do I need to adjust for price going down further.

@Cashurkash That’s the adjustment needed to make the rollover neutral.

Example:

  1. You have 10 quantity of contract A trading at $2.
  2. Next contract -> A1 is trading at $3.
  3. If you’re long (BUY) & the price of the next contract is higher, you’ll be debited the difference.
    10 x ($3 - $2) = 10 x $1 = $10
  4. If you’re short (SELL) & the price of the next contract is higher, you’ll be credited the difference.
    10 x ($3 - $2) = 10 x $1 = $10

End result is always the same -> a neutral rollover.
