So Tesla have just announced a 5 for 1 stock split to take place on 28th August. Does anyone know what happens with your fractions when this happens. If you have 0.2 will you get 1 whole share

[image] Vedran: And people actually put money into tsla  I’ve seen comments like this when Tesla was $500, $600, $700, $900, $1000, $1200, $1300, $1400. Surely you must have put a few dollars in Tesla to go along for the ride at some stage. Does anyone know what happens to CFDs wh…

Question, I have a few full shares of TSLA, will the split automatically x4 my shares? Or will they be sold and I’ll have to buy them all up again?

If you have full shares, they will be split normally. Only fractions of shares will be sold and added to free funds.

So my Tesla fractional shares will all be sold and Tesla removed from my pie? I have Tesla as the highest % in my pie and only have fractional shares so is this what will happen?

So in case TSLA at split day is worth 1500$, which would mean tsla…

Fractional can’t be split. 0.2 would just be sold as cash. If you have 1.2 then 1 would be kept and split and 0.2 would be sold. That is my understanding reading the apple split thread.

Yeah, my understanding is that mine will all be sold as they’re fractional shares only. Was just wondering how that works with Tesla being in my pie.
