Trusted Device Issue

Hi,

I’d like to go on record saying T212 insisting on having a trusted device is a bad idea and a potentail risk to our T212 account, especially if there is only one device in your account.

What if the trusted device is stolen or hacked?

My bank doesn’t insist on it so why should T212?

Also when you contact T212 about ot its difficult to speak to anyone who understands what you’re talking about.

Theres lots thats good about T212, but this is really worrying and perplexing that their policy demands we have one now.

It’d also be nice if this post wasn’t converted to a private message and it could be discussed properly on the forum!

I must be the only person who feels like this though!

I think you don’t actually need to designate a trusted device. You can just use standard TOTP 2FA instead, can’t you?

If you only have one device it is T212 policy it has to be trusted and it now can’t be untrusted. I think you’d need to sign in to another device and trust that to untrust current one.
