[Check this one out](The Naked Trader: How anyone can make money trading shares, 5th edition https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0857197819/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_fbiyFbF3YFFWG) he goes into detail about how he picks his stocks. How he invests / tradesā¦and whatās good about the books is he explains that you really donāt need all these fancy monitors or be at a computer all day. He basically lives the life of Riley while making bank!
Sounds good mate! Itās in my basket already! Iām going to finish my buffet one and then order.
GAW also have a tie in with Marvel which I think opens up further possibilities and enhancements to the brand.
GAW looks really good but I cannot justify the current price tag for it.
It will very likely go up but I missed the Boat on this one sadly.
Good on you guys who got in early!!!
L&g and Aviva still dirt cheap, good divi payers too
I found Hikma Pharmaceuticals to be a pretty interesting company (especially due to them focusing on Middle east/north Africa quite a bit). They produce generics.
Tritax Big Box also interested me as they own increasingly relevant real estate. They invest in large properties for distribution centres.
I donāt want to sound like an insensitive a.hole (especially since I know nothing about Hikma) but middle east/africa does not sound very promising especially when it comes to pharma
LGEN, DGE and JDW I think are cheap.
I would like to think next year all could hit:
LGEN: 230
DGE: 3000
JDW: 1100-1200
Least thatās the way I see it. I currently hold JDW, bought in when they dropped under the 800 mark. My buy targets for the others to make the value worth the risk are LGEN(<160) and DGE(<2500).
If correct, then I should see a +45%(LGEN), +20%(DGE) and +40-50%(JDW) return on each.
Iām a big fan of legal and general and Aviva, good dividends also. Theyāll probs be one I hold and add too forever.
Any opinions on UK finance? I only have Barclays right now as they recently dropped. However I do feel itās a risky sector but over the next few years Iām pretty positive. Shame they dropped there dividend also. I do question the provisions that banks made for COVID in England as the provisions seem extremely prudent.
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are showing good growth for their business. From 2018 to 2019 their revenue in injectables in MENA has grown 22% (dollar wise). While their US injectables for example only grew 5%. But I could understand you being wary of investing in a company which has some operations in that area as itās a very difficult area to operate in (they have a Jordanian office). In their branded segment all strong growth from countries like Egypt were offset by the worsening of the economic situation in Algeria so thatās a big risk in their business. Theyāre overall pretty diversified across Europe, US and MENA and I believe their products will see increasing demand over the long term.
They were forced by the regulators to stop dividends, as were all UK banks. Most of them are in a position to pay out their dividend but are just not allowed until the regulators review in the next 3 months.
I am betting on Tritax being a good play purely due to Brexit and needing those Warehouses to stock up on some local produce.
I was looking at Warehouse REITS and the only other one is a Closed Investment, which isnāt really great if you wish to sell as they are not as Liquid.
There are a few large ones, although more self storage than industrial storage.
Thereās always Segroā¦
I truly believe Tritax will continue to grow due to the trends in e-commerce. I havenāt thought about the Brexit effect that much as I think that would be more of temporary supply disruption but maybe itāll stay for longer.
If youāre looking at warehouse REITS maybe Prologis and Stag Industrial also interest you (both US stocks).
Others that are on my watchlist (although I am not currently considering entry);
- Dunelm
- Team 17
- Ted Baker
- Purplebricks
- Motorpoint
- The Hut Group
- Boohoo
And those to watch as recovery plays in future;
- JD Wetherspoon
- Youngs Brewery
- Dominos
- MoneySuperMarket
- Hostelworld
Better to be prudent than not, also note additional as contingency for Brexit.
Topps tiles is going to rocket ina couple days you better Topp up. All people are doing at the moment is renovating, also big investment from galleon over last few months.
Kaz minerals I think long term will do very well, especially from belt and road. They have low cost open pit copper mines. They have loads of growth planned in the next couple of years.
Team 17 as a Publisher is doing very well but as a Developer they donāt really have any huge games other than Worms.
Probably a good Buy mid term though and perhaps Codemasters if they still make good Racing Games. (They no longer make Dizzy games)
Worms was amazing. āhallelujahā
Worms was good fun, but the Dizzy games⦠oh! Perfection. Paved the way for so many RPG/puzzle adventures that came after it.
I might just buy some Team 17 out of personal sentiment.
