Why Passport on validation?

@isaac21e In case you are a citizen of a country which is outside the EU and EEA the only document that we are allowed to accept for ID verification is your International Passport.

Hey there! I totally get your frustration – it’s honestly pretty common for online websites handling real money deposits to ask for extra identification, like a passport. I think they do it as a security measure to prevent fraud and to ensure that you are who you say you are.

I’m now going through this, my provisional already expired now my passport is about to expire. I have ISA and my long standing bank accounts elsewhere they do not ask you to keep giving new ID’s they must check through credit reference and government agencies to verify me, behind the scenes. I think Trading 212 need to update their processes. It isn’t a legal requirement to have photo ID in this country!
