Would you like a pie?

Hi @Chanou, with v1 automatic deposits will contribute funds according to the target value of each slice. In following versions we will add a self-balancing option so each auto deposit can compensate the drift between actual/target value.

P.S. The self-balancing option will be available for manual deposits from v1.

Will I be able to sort my investments within a pie? For example, I cannot sort my investments by holding or market value within the mobile app at the moment. I can do this via the web app, but like most users, the functionality would be more useful in the mobile app.

For my use case, I’d have 3 or so pies (Growth, Dividend, Speculative…) and for each pie I’d want to sort my stocks automatically via holding or market value. I have quite a large number of Growth and Dividend stocks but I generally like to keep these in a particular order. I’d also want to keep my preferred sorting method for repeat visits.

Not with v1, but we will add sorting options later

Hey @George,

Amazing work! This really is going to be amazing!! I have a question around the fractional shares, you mentioned it’s planned to make all shares fractional, will this be upon launch of the pies? I have a few ETF’s that are not fractional but would like to include in the pie.

Many thanks,

Will there be a “rebalance” option, at least a manual one to start with?

Yes, there will be a Rebalance option.

Can we please add managed/pro portfolios/pies? By sector/country etc and for example, can be shareable/copyable? (We could also make them like CSV so that we can copy paste them like text messages  )

And the ability to nest pies within pies?

I think the pie inside a pie is what i am looking for too.

I am cost averaging planned investments every month, and would like to allocate certain % to specific ETFs according to my strategy.

At the same time, i would also like to purchase individual shares (outside of my monthly plan).

The issue is that if, say, i want my monthly savings to go to three funds (50% A, 30% B and 20%C) it is hard to track these allocations in the current pie, since it is mixed in with my other purhcases.

What im trying to say, is that it would be cool to be able to create a custom pie, which would track my position in specific holdings, and would disregard any other holdings from calculations.

Hope its clear enough to see my point ;D cheers!

So will this basically be a UK version of M1 finance? setting up pies within pies so you basically build your own fund

Apologies if this has already been asked.
Can we turn existing portfolios that contain all fractional shares into auto invest pies without selling the holdings ?
Thank you

EDIT: I see this will be implemented later.

If we sell our investments and add the money to the pie, will it auto invest to the set allocation ?

You won’t have to sell all your investments. There will be a rebalance option which will redistribute your funds into the right proportions. I assume this will be more efficient as it will sell only what needs to be sold, rather than selling the whole portfolio

Just wondering if a release of this feature is still coming in April or is it now looking like May? I know we are all really looking forward to the release, so thanks in advance

It was answered in other topics…. it’s coming in mid May.
