Yes so yourself (and a lot of us including myself), would like to see TWRR - Time Weighted Rate of Return in that case. Totally agree, I like to know if long term I can beat a simple all world index, and currently do this externally on wallmine.
Looks like this got quietly rolled out yesterday!
Almost time for a 2025 thread?
For me:
- SIPP (which is on the way)
- in-specie in/out with IBKR (doesnāt look to be in the pipeline)
- instant (i.e. faster payments) withdrawals
- dividends paid in asset currency rather than base currency in GIA
- LISA (would be great, but canāt imagine there will be much commercial sense given the limited audience)
Any support or thoughts on those features everyone?
Buy using limit orders inside a pie.
See Iām not so sure on this one. LISAs could have a third use. Folk are having kids much later, so you could jointly save towards your kids future in LISAs up to 8k (10k) a year, and release when they are early to mid 20ās at a time of your own choosing.
Iām all for these, particularly the dividend one. It would be handy to be able to choose currency when investing in a pie too, though you can just buy outside and import in.
More currencies and markets would probably be the main thing Iād like to see added. Japan and Sweden would top my list.
Account types like Lisas and Jisas would be nice. It would seem to make sense to prioritise the latter as the annual limitās higher and Iād imagine thereās a little less of an administrative burden.
- SIPPs are coming, but to make use of it, Iād need to be able to transfer in, especially in-specie. Bonus points for employer contributions, otherwise Iād only do a partial transfer.
- LISA would be great, would transfer in right away. I know itās not a huge market though. Plus who knows what the government has planned - if they eventually listen to AJ Bell, theyād just merge it all into a single ISA product, making this project a waste of time.
- Would love to have the various functionalities of a bank account (account details, direct debit, standing order etc) for the Invest account.
- Improved trading tools like hotkeys, trailing stop loss, etc.
This is a good shout. Iād like to use the Invest account as my main one for day-to-day spending but the lack of functionality, sending money etc, means I still need to use my Chase one too.
Hard to believe its almost another year past again.
Great progress this year T212.
and Sell, for that matter. It would be great to have Stop Losses and Take Profits within pies.
Can auto reinvested dividends be allocated to a particular pie target option āFund distributionā mode by either choosing: By targets, Self-balancing, or Custom. I know Self-Balancing works for monthly contributions but what about reinvested dividends?
If you have setup Auto Invest on a pie, any spare cash (such as from dividends) will be including in the distribution when the scheduled contribution happens. The dividends/cash donāt get distributed on their own.
OK thanks. I havenāt used auto invest upto now. As a contrarian investor, I only invest when there is a dip in a particular stockās share price or a general drop in in a pieās investments.
For me
SIPP
Options
Better analytics, analysis and reporting
Programmable stock screener (ie like Tradestation Radar)
Trailing stop loss
LISA
More pie functionality
SIPP and Options would be my top two as well.
And of course Swedish and other Scandinavian and Baltic exchanges.
Will be making a new poll at the end of the year. You suggestions are welcome.
Other things that would be nice for 2025 are:
- More exchanges, eg. Australia, Hong Kong and Poland
- Being able to hide the value of the portfolio and the value of investments in the mobile app. Ie. Some kind of privacy mode for when we are in public places.
Other things that would be nice for 2025 are:
Copy trader functionality (The possibility to replicate the purchases of other users and automatically carry out the activity with your own defined budget )
You would need the appropriate disclaimers in case the person you are ācopyingā goes rogue. It also gives the person you are copying potential leverage to impact the market on less liquid companies for their own benefit.
Thatās right but the beekers can choose for themselves. I currently also use eToro and find copy trading very useful and believe that trading 21 can introduce that next to the pies. For example, there is a discussion about introducing portfolio groups for active trades. And that can then be used to introduce Copy trading if it is introduced
