I have my bank linked via the true layer thing, but I can’t setup a deposit schedule for my pay days?
Can anyone point me in the right direction of doing it?
When you do an instant deposit by TrueLayer it’s using open banking in the background, which I believe (don’t quote me on that) requires strong customer authentication for each transaction (text message, banking app notification, etc). For that reason it wouldn’t be possible to have a recurring auto deposit because you wouldn’t be able to authorise the transaction each time.
For now the only way is to do it via a card, which will allow a recurring authorisation so T212 can initiate the payment on a schedule. The team have also said they are working as a priority to implement direct debits for scheduled deposits from your bank account, but that is a little way off yet.
