How to create a price alert without adding to the watchlist

Hi,

I am light-touch and I don’t want to constantly see my stocks in the watchlist.

However I want to set up an alert (set and forget).

How can I set an alert without having to add the stock to a watchlist?

I though you could set an alert by searching on the ticker but I see no search function in the alert setting page on the app.

You can do that by taping the alert button and set the desired price alert. You don’t have to add to watch list to do that. I do that all the time.
