Instant bank transfer connectivity issue

Hi everyone.

I recently joined Trading 212 and tried to set up my bank account to be able to instantly transfer funds.

I bank with Barclays, both the bank account and the trading 212 account are in the same name.

After going through the steps of authorising Trading 212 to be able to access my bank account it shows me a screen within the T-212 app that says - “Unable to connect, unable to establish payment request, please try again”

Has anybody else had similar issues with connecting their bank account and if so, how did you resolve the issue?

I’ve had the same and apparently Barclays has stopped doing open banking. This means you cannot connect it to anything. This had been implemented since May so I was told.

This would be odd if true. A workaround albeit not great could be to open a neo bank account - Starling perhaps?

I have Barclays as my main so it is annoying as I now can’t get all the extra info. I do have other accounts. Lloyds, Halifax etc I have used. Might have to ring up if you haven’t sent money before.

After saying all this and going by what CS said (Premier, btw) I tried again and it worked with Chip and everything else.
Don’t know where they got their info from.
