Thereā€™s an ā€˜airbag mechanismā€™ built into the products - idea is to help curtail a 100% loss in the 3x ETP if underlying falls more than 33.33% in a day. So anytime the underlying falls 16.67% in a day (meaning 3x ETP falls 50%), thereā€™s an intraday rebalance that takes place. Trading is halted for about 10-15 mins and continues afterwards as if it were a brand new trading day.
