New Web App (Beta)

Please sort out the pending orders window. It’s a constant battle to read the thing.
This is not useful:

It’s a table of numbers, …

Hi @Puzzled_one, you can resize any of the Advanced view tables’ columns by dragging the grey vertical separator found after each column:

You may also select the Default settings option from the dropdown menu. Just click on the three dots in the right-hand corner of the table header:

This menu can also be used to toggle the visibility of individual columns.

@Wit, I think he means auto resize each item when you add or remove them from the window.

@Wit . Saw this only now, got it corrected.
Thanks for the help and the TD resource link :+1:

@Wit BTW, the chart vanishing / random replacement trick is still bugging me :star_struck:

I got two of them replaced today. I hope you are able to sort the issue soon as otherwise most of my free time is spent re creating the lost charts.

Yes I tried all that, was glad to see the border bars but
it’s still pants.
I mean, would ANYONE specify it to work the way it does?
Write the spec with pass/fail points.
Give it to a programmer with a year’s experience and they’ll sort it properly and test it properly.

You know the width of the window. You know which categories have been chosen. You know the default widths you would like.
If they don’t fit, you have a few lines of code which truncate as appropriate.
It’s only arrays of numbers and some sums.
But out the ticker *first * so we don’t get a row of
Wisdom Tree leveraged shor… … or similar

The software tests to see if they’ll all fit etc etc etc. It’s really basic stuff. You do NOT display them all at the minimum available, like I showed.

Then, get someone else to look at it and try to break it… Then send it back to the original person if they find anything. Routine!

Here the name is truncated:

You can see the division line. How many digits do you need for the number of shares, ten? So why is there MORE than that as empty space?? Because it wasn’t checked by the person who wrote the spec, for them to say sorry I didn’t specify this , please alter it.
Etc.

If I have set the parameters I want to be displayed, store them, reapply them next time. Otherwise every time I have to hit “default”, I don’t have to reset them all, every time.

Thank you for this post @Puzzled_one

Agreed!

That’s a bug.

Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce it on our end as of yet. We would greatly appreciate any tips on how you got to this state without manually dragging the rightmost separator, thereby shrinking all columns.

We’re already persisting resize settings and preferred column visibility on-device for each table. If this isn’t working for you - it’s a bug. I cannot seem to reproduce this at the moment, so, again, any additional info would be appreciated.

If these issues are still occurring on your side, please DM me, and we’ll do our best to find the root cause, and resolve these for you.

@ 14:15 ET today (just now) what do I deduce from the message below the stock value ( N/A last year) ?

Please explain if anyone is able to understand what it means!
Am I missing something obvious?

-UI/UX update request in ISA
Hi T212 would it be possible to update the ‘buy/sell’ graphic in the ‘direction’ column of ‘Pending Order’ table, to reflect if an order is set to Extended hours or Regular hours please.

Would be very helpful to speed up position management and correct any orders if the wrong EH/RH option is set/unset…

…As you have to scroll down on the Limit/Sell order screen to set the market hours condition. Be great if this can be moved up, so visible without scrolling, as its easy to inadvertently have the wrong option set or be invisible to users unaware of the option.

Thank you! Keep up the great work

Hi @IntInv, N/A indicates that the app wasn’t able to fetch the price delta for the past year, making it “Not Available”.

We’re currently working on improvements in this area, which will make this fetching process more robust, and you should see N/A values much less frequently (mind, it’s already very infrequent according to our data, but it should almost never happen after our improvements are done).

EDIT: We actually deployed a part of these improvements on Friday. Please check if you’re running the latest version of the app by going to the Menu tab → About us. Should be 7.6.4. If not, just refresh the page and you should get the latest version. If this happens again, let me know and we’ll look into it again.

I miss in the web app this graphic line in the holdings view section of a pie:

@Wit please, please, please, bring this back. It’s so inconvenient not knowing where you’re at in the list, when you look from one column to the next. Just colour the background behind the selected stock with a different colour so we know. Why are you cutting out things that worked really well, or not implementing them back in? Thank you

Yes as of today morning I am running on the latest version of this app, so for some reason the issue has not gone away for all stocks.

It has happened again !!!
Today morning I spent time re-working on my charts, the drawings were gone, the markers vanished.

Now about 5 mins ago, it has taken more of my charts this time jumbling up the pairs. Look below

Tesla 5min and 1 hour pair now show Tesla and AT&T
image

Apple 5min and 1 hour pair now show Tesla and AT & T
image

Morgan Stanley now show MS and Marvell
image

Microsoft pair shows Apple and AT & T
image

There are three others that are messed up and those that are not have missing support and resistance levels!!!

What am I going to do, re-work on my charts every night to prepare for the next day ???

Help me get in or help me get out !

Hello @IntInv.

This is a high priority issue for us. We’re still working on reproducing this issue on our side.

Responding to the DM I sent you a couple of days ago and providing much needed info will greatly help accelerate this process.

Looking forward to resolving this for you!

I never knew about two finger scrolling with a laptop touchpad! That makes all the difference. Thanks very much for pointing that out - and for getting back to me so quickly.

@IanHH In using graphics, CAD, coding and whatnot programs, and a few laptops over the years, I’ve found there’s always something they don’t quite do properly! You’ll be able to configure the keypad; sometimes setting apparently the same thing a different way yields a different result.

@Wit. Thanks for this response. Much more constructive than the “Send a video or we can’t investigate it” standard reply from the Help chat

Why are arrow marks next to current price not swiched off (replaced by circle) when markets are closed as it was before in old desk app? It is more time-consuming for me to make morning and evening daily routine of quick check what is going on with my EU/GB holdings in morning hours, when US markets are off), resp. with US holdings in evening hours, when EU markets are off.
Please get it back - circle as mark of closed market. Thanks lot.

Hi guys, just wanted to ask a follow-up about this, as this was a VERY important feature. Has any progress been made in reimplementing it?

Thank you
