You can type in the % up to one decimal place, so 2.5% is possible. Rather than use the slider, just put your finger on the % and type.
yes but 1. this cant be done in the same screen, so u need to go back and forward and adjust one by one.
seems not like the smartest solutionā¦
I understand its good for people creating super dedicated pies, not for someone with 30+ stocks in one pieā¦
When you edit the Pie you can adjust all positions in the same screenā¦ actually I donāt know how are you going back and forth with this.
If there were a single button that implemented āmake targets match current valuesā that would solve your problem, and also facilitate my suggestion regarding what is needed to mimic the way an index ETF such as VUSA operates.
See discussion in this thread
when you edit the pie you dont know the actual weigh of every stock, you have only the slider.
But surely you know what weighting you want it to be at? Actual is just what it currently is at, and if youāre not going to be caring about target weights then weighting itself is irrelevant and you can just set arbitrary equal weight values
I want it to have the current weight in the pieā¦simple
this is a very complicated, miss-leading and problematic solution.
the default should be the simple solution, everything elese should be done only if the user wants to set targets, change weights etc.
For what reason I should want a non accurate pie?
So you want your target weighting to be the current actual weighting you are importing? But that can change if one of your stocks jumps/drops in value just before you import it
you can type whatever weight you want with one decimal point.
but you dont see itā¦
how can you know the weight of it before u import it to one pie?
lovely thanksā¦all sorted.
Will all my investments still show up under investments, or will investments inside pies not show under that tab?
forget about targets, let me import my stocks into one box, thats the new 100%
now, you want to start planning to targeting, be my guest, but the default should be just to put few stocks in same box.
I understand what you mean. You would prefer while creating a new pie your previously purchased shares to be automatically imported into that pie. Then, slice targets to be pre-set with the weights of your current investments. This can be done and weāve thought about including such option (by default off). It is with a lower priority compared to other features that are heavily requested, however, we will implement it eventually!
Happy I was able to explain
Thx.
Investments shows everything. Inside or outside of pies.
How about if there were a single button that implemented āadjust targets to match current weightingā that would solve his problem, and also facilitate my suggestion regarding what is needed to mimic the way an index ETF such as VUSA operates. Since a button press would require the user to make a positive selection this would reduce the danger that users could end up with pies balanced differently to what they expect.
I just test it on my iOS app, firstly thatās amazing thank you for your work on that tool.
Second, I have some points I think that you can improve to make it easier to use.
- Auto-balance : if we can put manually some of the % and autobalance the rest it will be easier to manage
- Separate and Hide : from the invest Tab the first thing that chocked me was that all my pies shares where displayed along my custom shares. Itās not usable anymore when you got 30+ positions. So if we can hide the pies shares and separate them from the custom ones with a button that will help a lot.
For the moment I only see this 2 big problems, Iām only waiting the update to be capable to put non-fractional shares to the pies.
Again well done
Best,
Ach
You guys rock
Have to say the desktop will always my preferred platform. How long before we see things like this in the browser?
Going by this I am assuming it is quite close to being ready
