Process: Latest version of iOS and updated app. I pasted the referral link in Safari, as there was no other way. It took me to the App Store, to download the app and signup, deposit funds etc.
I signed up using a referral. Since, there was no indication of the free share, I eventually managed to get through to somebody, on live chat, and was told to put some money into the Invest or ISA account, for verification, which I duly obliged ─ still nothing and no response!
Furthermore, I have friends/family constantly asking me to refer them, however feel cagey about doing so, as they will get into the same situation, and I won’t hear the end of it! This is a really disappointing start, and extremely frustrating, in not being able to get this matter resolved.

I’ve got the same issue. Referred 2 people yesterday and neither of us received a free share yet.
I have successfully referred one person and it went through in about 20 mins, not sure what happened to the other 2 though.
A common reason why a referral might not be assigned to a referral link is limitations on a device level, like enabled Limit Ad blocker (or similar technical specifics) or incorrect copy/pasting which blocked us from detecting the use of the link.
The goal of the “Invite a friend” promotion is to attract people to try our service, and there is no point for us to limit those referrals. The more, the better.
However, to be sustainable in time, the promotion must be fair to everyone: when a link is used accordingly, a share will be allocated. We cannot interfere with external malfunctions, nor be held liable about such.
To sum up: if someone used your link and he doesn’t have his share yet, ask him to contact us, and we will disclose more details about his account.
