Hey,
I’d like to replicate the view of the Stoch RSI and RSI in Excel. I really like how in the Trading212 platform the line is so smooth and does not go up and down many times in a yearly view.
When I calculate the RSI and Stoch RSI in Excel the line it’s a mess, the line goes up and down many times per day.
Does anyone know over what period Trading212 calculates the lines in the yearly view?
If it says the period is 14, does that mean 14 weeks (each time I move my mouse over it “jumps” 14 weeks)
Thanks a lot!
Period 14 means, the last 14 units of the time frame you are on.
So on yearly chart it would count the last 14 years into its equation.
Thank you for your comment, but if I use 14 years the line is flat.
14 months also results in a very flat curve.
I have also tried 14 weeks and the results are close (general direction of the slope, amount of “peaks”), but the calculation is still off by about ~30 points.
I cannot seem to get it right. Would be great if the formula how Trading212 calculates the Stoch RSI and RSI could be provided
