I have shares in Freetrade, in a normal free account, and wish to transfer them into a Trading212 ISA that I have not yet set up. Most of my shares are USA and Euro, so FX fees may be substantial on the Freetrade side when I sell. And more FX fees when I buy them back in Trading212? Or is there a better way to transfer my shares into a Trading212 ISA?
There’s an FX fee of 0.15% when trading with instruments in a different currency than the one in your account. Other than that, there aren’t any commission or custody fees.
However, you should keep in mind that there are some fees applied by the exchanges, such as Stamp Duty Reserve Tax, PTM Levy, FINRA Fee, French Financial Transaction Tax, and Securities & Exchange Commission. You can learn more here.
