Well, now is the time to request icons. What icons would you set to your pies?

bicycle/wheels, starry sky(with or without a moon), SOS, Graduate hat-thingy or diploma, stack of coins/notes.

i suppose people would also set aside portions for specific goals they are looking to achieve, like saving for a new smartphone or car etc.

Maybe some dividend-oriented icons. Perhaps coins/cash falling into your palm or coins/money growing off of a tree.

With these separate pies, can you have one company in each with different amounts? I want to set up a pie for my son and lots of his investments will be the same as mine, so can I buy shares specifically for his pie and shares specifically for mine?

EDIT: Could be get a family icon please, or like a child for my case :man:‍:family_woman_boy::family_man_woman_girl_boy::footprints::pregnant_woman::baby::child::adult: thanks

Yes, you can have 1 company in multiple pies. You would even be able to set up your pie, then create a second one for your son by duplicating the first one.

And, yes, you’ve got the family-related icons already  They were one of the first icons that we made. When the topic is growing wealth and long term portfolio building such icons just can’t be skipped :baby:

Regarding an emergency fund, It wouldn’t be wise to hold savings in the securities, with this in mind, could you also offer a choice to keep the money in a “savings account” for a predetermined period, at a fixed interest rate?

Savings account in era of negative interest rates, does this even exist?

We don’t plan to add a savings account in the near future. It is important to say that everyone can name their pies how they want. Those above are only an example

I would personally consider a Pie comprised of Bond ETFs as an emergency fund.

True, these times are exceptional, I put a SA between the quotes, meaning not a regular SA, but composite of different market instruments, that would allow other types of financing, lending. Ofc, this might be out of T212’s field of activity.

Well in securities there is no safe bets.

Even money equivalents like MINT nose dived during the crash, folks lost 5-10% on what was considered money equivalents. I doubt t212 wants to label something Savings account when it is infact not. :slightly_smiling_face:

Everyone has different risk tolerance, so for one person savings account it might be low risk, for other to high.

It is just naming example anyway…

I was thinking that these treemaps are a more effective way to show your portfolio than a piechart. Not sure if anyone agrees and would like this implemented. See me and my girlfriends attached.

the tree chart is hard to make fine distinctions in scale.

the pie chart on the other hand would be able to show the portion of your holdings by the category you set and then by individual shares a level or 2 down.

with pie charts you don’t just compare 1 company to your whole portfolio like with the treemap, you see it in relation to similar companies in an industry and then you can see how industries compare etc. so between the 2, pie charts make more sense for the majority of users.

It is, right? I’m tired of being disappointed every time I refresh Google play store. But I’m sure they are taking all precautions to avoid a buggy version, especially now in such volatile market.
